Number of Movies made over period of time: We

adapted, since around the 1985's. This is probably due to the rise in
independent filmmakers.

How
an Oscar to an actor or actress impacts the box-office collection of movies?
Overall
on an average Oscars have positive impact on the gross revenue of movies done
after getting an Oscar. As we can see from the graph below there more positive
differences than negative differences. Also the negative differences are small.
If we analyze the below data further on the basis of other factors such as age
of actor and actress, Genre of movies etc. , then we can find much more
interesting patterns. Also as the data has been adjusted to inflation rate.
